Double-Chinrest –Tamarind-bottom mounted fittings

Violin - 19th c. type - Tamarind, steel, brass with chromium plating, cork

Tamarind replaces rosewood (now prohibited as the endangered species)

Violin 2-part chinrest type, common in the first half of the 19th c. but with the String King’s own twist. The screw is fixed below the top part, so the chinrest is reaching few millimeters outside the violin body. This way the screw is not pressing so much against your neck and the violin body has less contact with your skin, which is better for both the resonance and varnish.

This model is possible to mount on the right side of the tail piece as well.
